Loft Deformations
Peter Doig
Today I went to the Tate Britain to see the Peter Doig exhibition. He's probably my favorite contemporary painter at the moment. Here's an example of what I saw:
'Blotter'
"The title refers to (amongst other things) the notion of one's being absorbed into a place or landscape, and to the process through which the painting developed: soaking paint into the canvas." apparantly...according to Peter Doig.
Really nice to see it in reality.
I also went to the White Cube to see the Anthony Gormley stuff...but there's no good piccies of that lying about.
