Time for clothes...
Just testing out a relatively 'extreme' position to check whether I did anything wrong with my cloth setup...turns out it's fine! Woo!

Me, me, me...
Started work on my new version of myself, while I'm rendering off some Lighthouse stuff:
A little bit too chinny so far...
This is what I've done so far. In the end I decided I wanted something that looked a lot more like the version of myself in my drawings...which is far more stylised and cartoony.
Initially I started out using photographs of my own face...as my interpretation of my drawings in my previous attempt at this resulted in a slight strange looking version of me. However the results were far too realistic...and was not the result I wanted.

David Again...
Here's some drawings for a new version of me that I'm going to make, now that I kind of know what I'm doing. Got a few ideas for it's use in various potential pieces of work...

Jump!
Back on the animation tutorials. Brushing up before I get animating the section of this animation I have planned out. Only doing about 15 or so shots. I feel it's time to move on after that...

Fake Depth of Field
Camera lense effects using render layers, and then blurring in After Effects (it's quite subtle and hard to see on compressed video).

HD Rendering
Okay...I want to make my animation in HD. However rendering stuff out in HD takes absolutely ages....especially on my crappy computer. I'm going to, however, attempt to fake it. Since my character is the focus of the animation, she's going to be properly rendered out in HD. The rest of the scene is going to be rendered out at 1/2 HD (similar to PAL res really), scaled up, and post processed, to get rid of some of the pixelation. It will look a bit more blurry...but will still have the drawn look I'm going for...hopefully. This is a test frame.
